Mission Statement
Established June 1, 2007
All officers and personal of the Highfill Police Department shall strive to meet the directives of this statement.
--- Officers shall preserve the peace, protect life, prevent crime, apprehend criminals, recover lost and stolen property and enforce in a fair, impartial and consistent manner, the ordinances of the City of Highfill and the laws of the State of Arkansas and of the United States.
--- Officers shall serve the public by direction, counsel and in other ways that do not interfere with the discharge of the law enforcement responsibilities. They shall respect and protect the rights of the individuals and perform their services with honesty, zeal, courage, discretion, fidelity and sound judgment.
--- Officers will seek and preserve public favor, not by pandering to the public opinion, but readily service and friendship to all members of the public without regard to their wealth or social standing and exercising courtesy and good humor.
--- Officers will recognize the need for strict adherence to law enforcement executive functions and will refrain from even seeming to usurp the powers of the judiciary. This shall be done with the utmost discretion to preserve a valued quality of life for the good of the public.
